This special Temperature Controller utilizes the principal of thermal expansion of two different materials. The difference expansion produces a mechanical motion. The sensing element of the controller is inserted inside the vessel. The controller head is mounted on the outer metal tube which has higher co – efficient of expansion one end of inner rod is attached to the outer metal tube. The inner rod therefore, moves with respect to outer tube when the temperature changes. The opposite end of the rod pushes against a spring loaded inner valve. As the Temperature decreases the inner rod pushes the valve plug causing it to close the valve allowing the output signal to change. The set point can be changed by rotating the knob.
